When to visit Ladakh

The best time to visit Ladakh is during the summer months, from May to September. During this period, the weather remains pleasant, and the roads leading to Ladakh from Srinagar and Manali are open, allowing for mesmerizing road trips with breathtaking vistas. The skies are clear, the temperatures are moderate, and most tourist attractions are easily accessible.
Alternatively, for adventure enthusiasts seeking a unique experience, winter from November to February presents Ladakh in a different light. While many roads and passes might be closed due to heavy snowfall, it’s the perfect time for those seeking solitude and pristine snowscapes. The frozen rivers pave the way for Chadar Trek, an extraordinary walk across the icy Zanskar River.
Getting to Ladakh
Tucked away in the northernmost reaches of India, Ladakh beckons adventurers with its stunning vistas and spirituality. There are several routes to reach Leh in the heart of Ladakh.
